Februar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zwei Tage Silves &#8211; HaHaHa. Erstmal bleiben wir l\u00e4nger, und dann kommen wir nicht weiter. Unser Stellplatz in Silves<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In Silves gibt es drei Stellpl\u00e4tze, einen im Osten der Stadt und zwei im Westen, der eine vor dem Continente-Markt, der andere dahinter. Das liegt nicht am Platz alleine, die ganze Umgebung ist abwechslungsreich und ansprechend. Der <em>Parque do Rio <\/em>liegt direkt neben einem Hallenbad und ist umgeben von einer Fitness-Area, die von vielen zum Joggen, Joga etc. genutzt wird. Die Innenstadt, Superm\u00e4rkte und Restaurants sind nicht weit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was uns erstaunt ist der kleine Fluss <em>Arade<\/em>. Er ist stark gezeitenabh\u00e4ngig, obwohl das Meer Luftlinie ca. 15 km entfernt ist. Bei Flut kommen sogar kleinere Ausflugsschiffe her, bei Ebbe ist der Anlegeplatz quasi trocken. Vielleicht ist auch die <em>Arade <\/em>mit ein Grund daf\u00fcr, dass es hier so viele St\u00f6rche gibt. Den ganzen Tag \u00fcber fliegen sie derzeit dicht \u00fcber unseren K\u00f6pfen hin und her und sammeln Nistmaterial. Ist offenbar gerade Nestbauzeit. In der Stadt finden wir sogar ein richtiges &#8218;Storchenhochhaus&#8216;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das zu Fotografieren oder gar zu filmen, ist sehr schwer. Entweder ist ein Baum dazwischen oder die Sonne dahinter, und habe ich gerade einmal wieder den Apparat oder das Handy weggesteckt, fliegt wieder einer genau \u00fcber meinen Kopf, keine drei Meter \u00fcber mir. Samstags gibt es einen Markt, jeden dritten Samstag im Monat auch einen Flohmarkt. Es gibt drei Superm\u00e4rkte, die bekannten Discounter, einen <em>Continente<\/em> und eine t\u00e4glich ge\u00f6ffnete Markthalle. In der Stadtmitte gibt es einen Bereich nur f\u00fcr Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger mit Andenken-, Bekleidungs- und Schuhgesch\u00e4ften und auch jede Menge einladende Restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unbedingt sollte man die H\u00e4hnchenbraterei direkt an der Hauptstra\u00dfe besuchen. Neben H\u00e4hnchen und Fisch gibt es noch Rumpsteak und Nebel von Fleisch (?), alles als Men\u00fc. Getr\u00e4nk f\u00fcr 10\u20ac, mit Gedeck, Oliven und Brot f\u00fcr 12. Als ich dann nur 20\u20ac zahlen soll, sage ich &#8222;wir hatten auch noch Kaffee!&#8220; &#8222;Der sei ein Geschenk&#8220; hei\u00dft es da nur. Ein feines Ambiente mit Preisen, die eher den deutschen \u00e4hnlich sind. Ins &#8218;<em>Art aska<\/em>&#8218; wollen wir unbedingt noch einmal herkommen. Hier steht eine ber\u00fchmte Burg, ein Castelo. Die Bauzeit begann im 12. Jahrhundert und die Grundbauern sind arabischen und maurischen Ursprungs. Bereits im 8. Jahrhundert hatten Araber die Stadt f\u00fcr sich entdeckt und bis ins 11. Jahrhundert wuchs die Stadt auf 25.000 Einwohner. Es handelt sich aber um keine geschlossene Burg mehr, aber es gibt rundum eine begehbare Mauer, die geschlossen alle Wacht\u00fcrme verbindet. Der Eintritt kostet gerade mal 2,80\u20ac, f\u00fcr Rentner die H\u00e4lfte, daf\u00fcr gibt es zu Hause nicht einmal einen Kaffee. Februar, am Weiberfastnachtstag verlassen wir Silves wieder. Witzig: Um 11:11 Uhr beginnt der offizielle Stra\u00dfenkarneval, und f\u00fcr uns ist das der 111-te Reisetag, wie passend. Aber wie geht es weiter? Wir sind uns einig, nicht vorschnell weiter gen Norden zu fahren, die Erfahrung vom vorletzten Jahr ist uns noch in guter Erinnerung: W\u00e4ren wir doch noch ein wenig l\u00e4nger im warmen S\u00fcden geblieben! Damals hatten wir festgestellt, dass die Westk\u00fcste und vor allem Nordspanien auch Ende April noch ungem\u00fctlich waren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weiter in den Westen wollen wir nicht und damit ist auch die gesamte portugiesische Westk\u00fcste gestrichen. Aber wir waren doch in Portugal noch gar nicht am Meer! Daher wollen wir noch einmal ein wenig zur\u00fcckfahren. Die R\u00fcckfahrt planen wir dann durch Zentralspanien, \u00fcber Madrid, Saragossa und Lleida zu lenken. Auch f\u00fcr Frankreich planen wir nicht mehr viel Zeit ein. Um Ende M\u00e4rz wieder daheim zu sein, reicht es uns, fr\u00fchestens ab dem 20. M\u00e4rz vielleicht wieder in Port Vendre dem freundlichen Polizisten die Stellplatzgeb\u00fchr von 8\u20ac in die Hand zu dr\u00fccken. Und auf ein z\u00fcnftiges Essen in S\u00fcddeutschland oder Hessen freuen wir uns auch bereits&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jetzt sind wir also erst einmal nur 23 Kilometer in Richtung K\u00fcste gefahren und befinden uns in Gal\u00e9. Zum Strand ist es nur gut einen Kilometer zu laufen, und das machen wir auch gleich nach der Ankunft. Denn es ist Regen angesagt, eigentlich bereits f\u00fcr heute, doch wir k\u00f6nnen den Strand bei Sonnenschein genie\u00dfen. Hier schreibe ich diese Zeilen, auch wenn drau\u00dfen die Sonne bereits wieder scheint.
